Tour Description


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Transfer to your hotel and take some time to rest and acclimatize. Explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu and prepare for your trek.


Day 2: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

Take a short flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a city in the southwestern Terai region of Nepal. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.


Day 3: Nepalgunj to Jhupal (Dolpo) and trek to Dunai

Take an early morning flight from Nepalgunj to Jhupal. Upon arrival, meet your trekking crew and begin your trek. Trek to Dunai, the district headquarters of Dolpo. Overnight stay in Dunai.


Day 4: Dunai to Ankhe

The trail follows the bank of the Bheri River and passes through terraced fields and forests. Trek to Ankhe, a small village located at the confluence of the Suligad and Thuli Bheri rivers. Overnight stay in Ankhe.


Day 5: Ankhe to Sulighat

Continue trekking along the Bheri River and cross suspension bridges. Pass through dense forests and enjoy stunning views of waterfalls. Trek to Sulighat and camp near the river. Overnight stay in Sulighat.


Day 6: Sulighat to Phoksundo Lake

Trek through beautiful pine forests and ascend to the village of Ringmo. From there, descend to Phoksundo Lake, the highlight of the Dolpo region trek. Phoksundo Lake is renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Overnight stay near Phoksundo Lake.


Day 7: Rest day at Phoksundo Lake

Spend a rest day at Phoksundo Lake to explore the area, take photographs, and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings. You can also visit the nearby Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Overnight stay near Phoksundo Lake.


Day 8: Phoksundo Lake to Shyanta

Descend through a beautiful forested trail and cross a suspension bridge over the Phoksundo River. Trek through the valley and reach the village of Shyanta. Overnight stay in Shyanta.


Day 9: Shyanta to Jhupal

Continue descending through forests and cross several small streams. Trek to Jhupal, where you'll spend your last night in the Dolpo region. Overnight stay in Jhupal.


Day 10: Jhupal to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu

Take a morning flight from Jhupal to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, catch a connecting flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.


Day 12: Spare/Buffer Day

This day serves as a buffer in case of any unforeseen circumstances such as flight delays or bad weather conditions. It can also be used as an extra day for exploration or rest, depending on the needs of the group.


Day 13: Kathmandu Sightseeing

After the trek, take the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical landmarks of Kathmandu. Visit UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Immerse yourself in the rich heritage and vibrant atmosphere of the city.


Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

On your final day, transfer to the international airport in Kathmandu for your departure. Bid farewell to Nepal with cherished memories of your Dolpo Region Trek.
