The Lower Dolpo Trek via Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is a classic adventure offering stunning vistas of mountain passes, lush jungle ravines, and traditional rural villages. This trek traverses the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve and Shey Phoksundo National Park, both situated in the rain shadow of the central Northwestern Himalayas in Nepal. These remote regions are characterized by their pristine wilderness, rich biodiversity, and sparse population, making them ideal for trekking enthusiasts seeking untouched natural beauty.

The route from Dhorpatan to Dolpo takes trekkers through high mountain passes and remote landscapes, providing breathtaking views of the Himalayas and a glimpse into traditional Tibetan culture. This challenging trek includes navigating over several passes and tackling the rugged terrain, which can be demanding.

Key highlights of the trek include the picturesque landscapes, the unique culture of the local people, and the renowned Phoksundo Lake. Due to its difficulty level, involving ascents and descents through the Numala and Bagala passes, this trek is best suited for experienced trekkers looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure
