Thapa Peak Climbing (6,012m), also known as Dhampus Peak, is located northeast of the majestic Dhaulagiri range. It is considered one of the more accessible Himalayan peaks to climb in Nepal. With over 1,300 peaks exceeding 6,000 meters, Nepal offers an incredible opportunity for mountaineering enthusiasts, and Thapa Peak is among the most popular.

The striking contrast in elevation between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges provides breathtaking views from Thapa Peak. This peak, along with over 30 other trekking peaks, is open for climbing under the supervision of the Nepal Mountaineering Association and the Department of Tourism.

Thapa Peak is near the towering Tukuche Peak (6,920m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167m), giving climbers the chance to experience the grandeur of the Himalayas up close. Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Kathmandu, overnight at hotel

Upon Arrival in Kathmandu Airport you will be expected to complete your custom formalities (Visa etc.) We suggest you to look for our representative who will be waiting for you at the arrival gate with the Everest View Treks And Expedition display board you will then be transferred to hotel Manang or another hotel similar category Include B/B.

Day 2

Kathmandu, full day sightseeing and preparations Trekking.

Completion of required official procedures and taking a cultural tour of Kathmandu before the actual Trekking will be the main agenda of this day. After Breakfast, there will be cultural tours to world heritage sites in Kathmandu which include Kathmandu Durbar square, Pashupatinath Hindu Temple, Swayambhunath and boudhanath during the afternoon, you will be meeting with the Trekking program along with your guide at EVT office for a pre-Trips Briefing discussion Include B/B.

Day 3

 Fly pokhara drive to darbang (1190 m) by jeep from pokhara 4 to 5 hour over night tent camp.

It is Kathmandu-Pokhara 30 minutes flight around 8:30 Am viewing the fascinating scene. If not, we drive to Pokhara, 204 km from Kathmandu, takes 6-7 hours, viewing beautiful hill scene and rural life. Day 4

Trek from Darbang to Riverside/Jogi Khola

On the fourth day, finally, we begin our exciting trekking towards Riverside for the first day which is likely to take us about four hours, situated at an elevation of 1560 meters, the hike will be passing through various farm areas and small villages on our way to the riverside of Myagdi. We will be staying overnight in our camp at the Riverside.

Day 5

Trek from River side to Bagar

After breakfast, we will be leaving for Bagar very early in the morning after having a warm breakfast at Riverside lodge. the hike will be around 4-6 hours to reach our destination of the day. The hike is amazing, walking and passing through various villages like the village of Jugapani and stop for lunch on the way. There will be various ups and downs on the way as we will be crossing dense forests and ridges. We will be camping at an elevation of 2375 meters, in the small village of Bagar. Along the trail succeed meadows, woods, and terraced fields. Great view of Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Gurja Himal (7,193m), and Ghustung Sud (6.465m) Stay overnight at the Lodge.

Day 6

Trek from Bagar to Dovan (2520 m) 5-6 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

We will be leaving Bagar after early morning breakfast. We will be moving across the Farm fields of Bagar as we head towards Dovan which is likely to take us about six hours of walk. Dovan is situated at an elevation of 2600 meters and the trails to Dovan take us through forests decorated with rhododendrons, oaks, and pines. From the route, we will get a spectacular view of the flowing Myagdi River. We will be camping by the river at Dovan for our night stay Dovan.

Day 7

Trek from Dovan to Forest Camp (3100 m) 5-6 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Trek to Forest camp today we walk 6 to 7 hour mostly uphill gradual flat we stop for lunch on the way then continue to Forest camp we can see some mountain view while we walking overnight tent camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 8

Trek from Forest Camp to Italian base camp about 6 to 7 hour walk overnight tent camp.

Trek to italian base camp today we walk 6 to 7 hour mostly uphill gradual flat we stop for lunch on the way then continue to italian base camp we can see some mountain view while we walking overnight tent camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 9

Acclimatization day at Italian base camp walk around 3 to 4 hour overnight tent camp.

Day 10

Trek from Italian Base camp to Swiss Base camp (3730 m) 6-7 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Day 11

Trek from Swiss base camp to Dhaulagiri Base camp (4710 m) 6-7 hour.

Day 12

 Trek from Dhaulagiri Base camp to French pass Hidden valley (5400 m) 5-6 hour walk.

Day 13

Hidden valley to Thapa passes (5250 m) about 6 to 7 hour overnight tent camp.

Day 14

Rest day in base camp preparation day for climbing.

With Everest View treks And Expedition climbing Guide will teach short Training how to fixed or blay the rope whiling climbing the Thapa  peak. Overnight tent camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 15

 Summit of thapa peak (6012 m) back to base camp overnight camp.

Today your hard day to Summit Thapa peak start early morning around 3: am start to climbing is take around 7 to 8 hour to top then Descend to base camp Overnight tent camp Include meal B/L/D.

Day 16

Thapa peak base camp to Marpha

Trek to Marpha village today we walk 7 to 9  hour mostly flat up till batase dada then gradual flat to batase Dada the steep downhill to Merpha villge  we can see Dhaulagiri all range and Annapurna and nilgiri mountain view while we walking overnight at Tea house  include meal B/L/D.

Day 17

Trek from Marpha to Jomsom (2720 m) 1 ½ hour walk o/n at Lodge

Today Short day walk to jomsom only 40 minute walk to jomsom you can start late morning today is last day your Dhaulagiri Thapa peak trek you can celebrate your trekking with you trekking staff overnight  Tea House include meal B/L/D.

Day 18

Jomsom to Pokhara Flight (820 m/2,700 ft): 30 min flight.

After breakfast we fly to Pokhara. The scenic flight takes us through the gorge of the two huge mountains, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. On arrival at Pokhara airport, we will be transferred to lakeside hotel. We get some rest and explore the beauty of Pokhara Valley in the evening. While we leisurely walk along the bank of Fewa Lake, the second biggest lake of Nepal while admiring the mountain view of Machhapuchhare. We can also go for a boat-ride in Fewa Lake or take a short hike to the World Peace Pagoda. We can end the day with a leisurely stroll around the mesmerizing lakeside area.Overnight in Pokhara. Included Bed :Breakfast.

Day 19

 Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,428 ft): 5-6 hours’ drive.

Today, after breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, we will be transferred to our hotel. There is nothing to do but trade emails with travel companions and organize our photos. We can spend the evening leisurely or perhaps catch up on some last minute shopping. Either way, we celebrate the successful completion of our journey with a farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight at Kathmandu. Included Bed: Breakfast

Day 20

Fly home farewell friend.

You are saying goodbye to the mountains as your journey to Nepal. Comes to an end today we hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and are sure you will be back in your trip somewhere in the Himalayan again. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from EVT will transfer you to the airport on your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next Adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal
