Our adventure begins with a flight to the small airstrip at Tumlingtar For Arun Hunku Valley and Mera peak climbing. A scenic flight take you to Tumlingtar From where our trail descend to the deep gorge of the Beautiful Arun Valley. The Arun valley is lush, green oasis, rich in bird life and these first few days provide a fascinating contrast to high mountain escape as we approach in to the Arun Hunku valley and Mera peak. Our Trekking route To the Mera La Will take us through thick rhododendron and Bamboo forest separating hunku valleys. On the trail to pachpokhari will come across a beautiful Sherpa Village and Kirong La monastery.
A Beautiful lake called pachpokhari lies on the way to Hunku and trails continue to descend to hunku River, complete wilderness trails. The views. Of Mountain along this section are superb and beautiful. Towards The east, we can see The Kanchenjunga, and Jannu himal to the north, the views of hunku and Hongu dominate. The trail continues to Thangnag (4366m) from here we move to khare (5108m) where we establish the base camp at the foot of the glacier leading to Mera la (5415m). Here we have some of the days to rest for explore around and acclimatization. Our Return trails will takes us south, down to the hunku Drangku before turning west to cross the Zattrawa-La to the Mountain airstrip at Lukla next day from here we will fly back to Kathmandu than transfer to the hotel. Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Kathmandu (1275m).

Upon Arrival, in Kathmandu Airport you will be expected to complete your custom formalities (Visa etc.) We suggest you look for our representative who will be waiting for you at the arrival gate with the Everest View Treks display board you will then be transferred to hotel Manaslu or another hotel similar category Include B/B plan

Day 2

Sightseeing in Kathmandu and preparation trekking.

Completion of required official procedures and taking a cultural tour of Kathmandu before the actual Trekking will be the main agenda of this day. After Breakfast, there will be cultural tours to world heritage sites in Kathmandu which include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Hindu Temple, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath during the afternoon, you will be meeting with  the Trekking program along with your guide at EVT office for a pre-Trips Briefing discussion Include B/B plan.

Day 3

Flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar [518m/1700 ft] [45 min flight] & Trek to Katike Ghat [457m/1499 ft] [4-5 hrs Trek].

Today we will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu flying east towards TumlingTar  grass airstrip. From Tumlingtar we will start our trek with a gentle climb through terraced farmlands and head towards the crossing of a long and low suspension bridge over Arun River. Short trekking from there we lead us to the village of Katike Ghat situated on the banks of Arun River. Overnight Tent camp/ Basic Tea house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 4

Trek from Katike Ghat to Ghothe Bazaar [1030m/3378ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

From Katike Ghat we will trek along the terraced farmlands and pass through the village of Balawa Besi. We will continue to trek through dense forest and the Rai village of Marduwa. From there we will follow the trail that goes along the north shore of Irkhu Khola to arrive at Ghothe Bazaar.. Overnight Tent camp/ Basic Tea house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 5

Trek from Gothe Bazaar to Salpa Phedi [1250m/4100ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

We continue on our trail that passes through dense forest and the villages of Tendor and Tallo Phedi. We will see houses with slate rooftops while we walk along the village areas. Our trail climbs through terraced farmlands with breathtaking views of Irkhuwa valley. We continue our trek by crossing the river over a bamboo bridge before arriving at Salpa Phedi. . Day 6

Trek from Salpa Phedi to Ghorase [1820m/5969ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]

From Salpa Phedi we will make an easy ascent to the village of Thulo Fokte and then continue to walk through a dense forest filled with rhododendron, oak, and birch before descending down to Bilbate. From there we will follow a rather easy trail that leads to the tiny stone village of Ghorase. . Overnight Tent camp/ Basic Tea house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 7

Trek from Ghorase to Guidel [2230m/7314ft] [6-7 hrs Trek].

Leaving Ghorase we will gradually ascend to the top of Salpa pass at 3350 meters and then descend down to Hongu Khola through dense forest before traversing a huge rock painted with Buddhist mantra. Further trekking through the forested valley will lead us to the village of Guidel which is largely inhabited by Rai ethnic community. Overnight Tent camp/ Basic Tea house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 8

Trek from Guidel to Khiraule [2759m/9049ft] [4-5 hrs Trek].

We start our trek by crossing the bridge over Hinku River and head towards the village of Bung. This region is well known for rice production with one of the most fertile region in Nepal. We will continue our uphill trekking from Bung for about an hour as we approach Khiraule. . Overnight Tent camp/ Basic Tea house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 9

Trek from Khiraule to Cholam [3280m/10758ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

From Khiraule we will have a rather easy trek on the trail that passes through serene forest and untouched wilderness. We will continue trekking until we reach a good camping site near Cholam. Overnight Tent camp Include meal B/L/D.

Day 10

Trek from Cholam to Khola Kharka [3345m/10971ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

Leaving Cholam we will descend through some scattered settlements before climbing up an easy gradient over a crest towards the lakes of Panch Pokhari - five sacred lakes. From here we can get magnificent views of surrounding high peaks. This is a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. From there a short downhill descent will lead us to Khola Kharka. Day 11

Trek from Khola Kharka to Mosom Kharka [3500m/11480ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

From Khola Kharka we will continue our trekking by following the trail that climbs steeply towards the main Hinku valley. We will continue our trek with several ups and downs through dense forest areas. We will have great views of surrounding natural wonders while trekking today. After a couple of hours trekking, we head towards Mosom Kharka Overnight Tent camp Include meal B/L/D.

Day 12

Trek from Mosom Kharka to Thangna [4650m/15252ft] [6-7 hrs Trek].

We will head north from Mosom Kharka following the trail that goes along the west bank of Hinku Khola. We will pass through several grazing grounds in the Upper Hinku valley. After several hours of uphill trekking, we will head towards the summer settlement of Thangna and cross a single plank bridge at Gondishung to reach our camping site near Thangna. Overnight at Guest house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 13

Rest day in Thangna  you can Explore around Thangna or you can Relax Overnight Guest house Include meal B/L/D.
Trek from Thangna to Khare Base Camp [5000m/16400ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

Day 14

Trek from Thangnak to Khare Base Camp [5000m/16400ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]

Leaving Thangna we will continue to follow the trail that ascends gradually all the way to Khare. We will take it slowly, with frequent stops and incredible views of surrounding peaks. After few hours of tiring trek, we will arrive at Khare. From Khare, the beautiful north face of Mera Peak is seen.Overnight Guest house Include meal B/L/D

Day 15

Acclimatization/Rest at Khare Base Camp.

Acclimatization is very essential for avoiding mental and physical illness. It is equally important for ensuring successful climb of the Mera peak summit. Hence, we will take a day rest here at Khare base camp for acclimatization and exploration before continuing our climbing trek to higher altitudes.Overnight at Guest house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 16

Trek from Khare Base Camp to Mera High Camp [5700m/18696ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]

Leaving the base camp we will follow the trail that is a gradual climbing all the way. We head for the crossing of Mera La pass at 5410 meters. The pass is a rounded snow col that bridges with the main sweep of Mera Glacier to the south. The views from here will make you speechless as you get magnificent views of Everest, Makalu, Baruntse, Kusum Kanguru and many other mountains. As soon as we reach the high camp, we will quickly set up our camp and make a necessary check on our health conditions and our Sherpa crew will start fixing ropes and other climbing gears required for submitting the peak. Day 17

Summit to Mera Peak [6461m/21192ft] descent to Khare [8-9 hrs Climb].

Fully acclimatized and properly equipped with all the necessary gears, we start early and follow the footsteps of our experienced climbing experts. The climb to the summit of Mera starts gradually and much will depend on snow and general weather conditions. The central summit will soon appear above the head of a wide glacier flanked by two ridges. We climb the center of this over open snowfields and avoiding crevasses. The route then swings south-east, skirting below and to the east of the left-hand ridge before turning back rightwards towards the main summit ridge of Mera Peak. Once at the top we are rewarded with great views of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Chamlang, Makalu, Baruntse, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Kangtena, Ama Dablam and other high peaks. After spending some quality time at the top, we will retrace our steps back and make a decent all the way to reach Khare. Overnight at Guest house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 18

Trek from Khare to Kothe [4182m/13716ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

After having achieved the summit of Mera Peak, we will continue our return trek as we follow the trail that goes along with a gradual descent path passing through the village of Tangnang. This is a small village where we will trek through the open fields and yak settlement areas. To reach Kothe we will follow the same trail and trek through dense forest covered with fir and rhododendron tree Overnight at guest house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 19

Trek from Kothe to Tuli Kharka [4100m/13448ft] [5-6 hrs Trek].

From Kothe we will follow the trail that goes steeply up all the way towards Tuli Kharka. During the trek, we will continue to trek through additional forest and green hills with great views of surrounding valleys and mountains.Overnight at Guest house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 20

Trek from Tuli Kharka to Lukla [2800m/9184ft] via Zatrawala Pass [4600m/15088ft] [6 hrs Trek]

Leaving Tuli Kharka we trek through forests of fir, rhododendron, oak, juniper, and head towards the crossing of Zatrawala Pass at 4600 meters. From the top of the pass, we will make a gradual downhill descend all the way to reach Lukla. After arriving at Lukla, we can relax and take a walk around the small town after having completed the last day of our trek.Overnight at Guest house Include meal B/L/D.

Day 21

Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu [45 minutes] and transfer to hotel.

We take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic mountain flight after the wonderful trekking of Arun valley and achievement of Mera Peak summit with Everest View Treks & Expeditions. Include B/B.

Day 22

 Final Departure your home.

You are saying goodbye to the mountains as your journey to Nepal. Comes to an end today we hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and are sure you will be back in your trip somewhere in the Himalayan again. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Everest View Treks ANd Expedition will transfer you to the airport on your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next Adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
