Rara Lake Trekking is hands down one of the most beautiful treks that take you to Rara Lake in Nepal. It is one of the largest lakes in Nepal. Every year, thousands of visitors visit the lake from all over the world. Rara Lake lies at an elevation of 2,990 meters with an area of 10.8 km square. This mesmerizing trek to Rara Lake is located in the remote northwest part of Nepal. The trek starts from a pulsating capital city and takes you to the remote area of Jumla. Enrooted you’ll pass through some interesting village of Gorusingha, Sija, Jaljala and finally trek ends at the tranquil heaven that is Rara Lake. Besides, Rara Lake Trek also lies in Rara National Park which is one of the most enthralling national parks to observe diverse wildlife. The national park consists of several blue pines, black juniper, oak, cypress, and rhododendron forests. Rara Lake Trekking Difficulty

Rara Lake Trekking apparently is quite easy and appropriate for any level of trekkers. With the basic level of fitness, beginners and intermediate level trekkers can easily complete this trek. You possibly can be able to hike for 4 to 6 hours over hilly terrain with a light day pack. So, this trek doesn’t require any previous trekking experience and technical experience.

Best Time for Rara Lake Trekking

The Spring (September-October) and Autumn season (March-May) are the best time for Rara Lake Trekking. During this time the weather will be pleasant and you’ll get splendid views of the Himalayas reflecting in the lake. Not to forget mentioning, the area is covered by blooming colorful Rhododendrons during spring season which add unique and incomparable beauty around the lake.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Kathmandu (1275m)

Upon Arrival, in Kathmandu Airport you will be expected to complete your custom formalities (Visa etc.) We suggest you look for our representative who will be waiting for you at the arrival gate with Everest View Treks And Expedition display board you will then be transferred to hotel Moonlight or another hotel similar category. include B/B.

Day 2

Fly Kathmandu to Nepalgunj Transfer to Hotel.

Today we fly late afternoon to Nepalgunja it take 1 hour flight then Transfer to hotel include meal B/L/D.

Day 3

Fly Nepalgunj to Jumla and trek to Chalachour (2900 m) 4-5 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Early morning fly to jumal the we start our trek to Chalachaur we walk 5 to 5 hour up down hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 4

Trek from chalachour to Sinja (2440 m) 6-7 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Today Trek to Sinja we walk 6 to 7 hour up down hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 5

Trek from Sinja to botan (2600 m) 4-5 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Today Trek to botan we walk 5 to 6 hour up flat hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 6

Trek from Botan to Rara park border (2956 m) 5-6 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Today Trek to Rara park we walk 6 to 7 hour mostly up flat hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 7

Trek from Rara park border to Rara Lakes (3062 m) 5-6 hour walk o/n tent camp.

Day 8

Explore RaraLake o/n at tent camp.

Day 9

Trek from Rara Lake via Jhary to river camp (2500 m) 6-7 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Today Trek to river Camp we walk 6 to 7 hour up  Down falt hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 10

Trek from river camp to cross ghurchi Lagna pass (3450 m) trek to chautha (2770 m) 6-7 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Today Trek to Chautha  we walk 6 to 7 hour up down  hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 11

Trek from chautha to tharamara (3280m) 5-6 hour walk o/n at tent camp.

Today Trek to Tharamara we walk 6 to 7 hour up down flat hill Overnight Tent Camp include meal B/L/D.

Day 12

Trek from Tharamara to Jumla o/n at Lodge.

Today Trek to Jumla we walk 5 to 6 hour  mostly flat and down hill  Overnight Tent Lodge include meal B/L/D.

Day 13

Fly back to Kathmandu Transfer to hotel.

After break fast early morning fly to Nepalgunj the take Connection flight to Kathmandu transfer to hotel include B/B.

Day 14

Fly home farewell friend

You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal. Approximately 3 hour before your scheduled flight a representative from Everest View Treks And Expedition will transfer you to the airport on your way home you ll have plenty of time to plan your next Adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
