Amphu Lapcha Pass Trekking is one of the most challenging treks in the Khumbu region. It requires a technically enhanced and experienced trekker to complete the trail. The trek to Amphu Lapcha Pass is through the upper Hinku valley. Amphu Lapcha Pass is a difficult pass because it is not only the summit of the high Himalayas but also the site of the famous historical exploration of monasteries, temples, and different lakes. The trail of the trek has the features of a classic expedition too. The trek is difficult because the trail does not follow the frequently traveled way; rather, it leads to area of barren, uninhabited, snow-covered mountain passes and glaciers.

Amphu Lapcha Pass trek starts in the sub-tropical and reaches a height of over 5000m from sea level. The view of Mt. Everest (8848 m.) is astonishing during the trek and the climb of Mera Peak (6461m.) and Island Peak (6169m.) is also possible during the following trail. We trek to Mera Base Camp for adventure. Climbing the peaks gives a good experience of mountain climbing during trekking. Crossing the Hongu Valley and Amphu Lapcha Pass combines the wonderful experience of trekking on a challenging route and collecting the experience of mountaineering at once. It needs acclimatization while reaching the Amphu Lapcha Pass. The spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Langtang from Mera Peak is superb.

During the trek, the exploration of the villages like Chutanga, Kothe, Thangnak, Khare, Tengboche, Chhukung, and Namche Bazaar adds extra flavor to the journey. The gigantic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kusum Khangaru, etc. are breathtaking during the trek.
