Phaplu Everest base camp trek is an adventurous trek in Everest region in Solukhumbu. Where all rage of the popular Sherpa people popular for Sherpa village, ancient, fabulous sceneries culture, monasteries and panoramic closet views of natural landscape on the foothill of Mt. Everest. Drive to the original trailhead of Jiri to avoid the long bus we fly into Phaplu to begin our trek through the much quieter Solokhumbu region. You Trek over gentle ascent path all the way to Taksindo Gompa and descending from here you Ringmo. We follow the DudhKoshii north through terraced hillsides and small villages to join the main Everest trail below Lukla. The route passes through lush valleys with abundant flora and fauna, Spectacular forest of the blooming Rhododendron blue pine, valleys, and forests of Rhododendron pasture land, green hill, with lush vegetation, and flowery slops. Along the trail, there are many ancient Monasteries, Chortens and many prayer Flags and fir which has added the beauty of the trek. We pass through friendly Sherpa villages culturally rich and people of the area are very hospitable and able to preserve their unique culture and Buddhist monasteries of NamcheBazaar. You visit Tengboche monastery en- route before continuing on to your goal, an ascent of kalapather. A rocky outcrop to the west of Everest from where the beautiful view of the mountain can be seen. This vantage point gives fantastic views of the icefall and southcol as well as the immense south –west face of Everest. Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Kathmandu (1275m)

Upon Arrival, in Kathmandu Airport you will be expected to complete your custom formalities (Visa etc.) We suggest you look for our representative who will be waiting for you at the arrival gate with the Everest View Treks display board you will then be transferred to hotel manaslu or another hotel similar category include B/B.

Day 2

:Early morning flight to -phaplu (2600 m) 30 minute Flight trek to Ringmo.

The sights from a plane are amazing, providing dramatic views of terraced hills and the distant Himalayan giants. After landing in the village of Phaplu we meet the rest of our staff and porter. The Phaplu is a small airstrip in Solukhumbu. We start very few treks from Phaplu it takes 35 minutes by plane, when you get down from the plane you can see an excellent view of Sherpa town and mountain view number/ Khatang/ Kerolung. The trekking trail follows Chiwang and Phera through a pine tree and Rhododendron Forest alive with birds. Large numbers of Sherpa people live in Solokhumbu, therefore, it is popularly known as Sherpa village. We stay Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D

Day 3

Ringmo trek to Nunthala (2200 m) 5-6 hour walk.

 

Which takes approximately 5-6 hour, the beginning your trek is gently ascent for early one and half hour To Taksindo La pass (3100m) from this place, you could see the first view of Thamserku (6623 m), Kantega (6780 m), Kusum Kanguru (6370 m), and Mera peak 6650 m) now the end your trek steeply descends to the town Nunthala (2200 m) through small Sherpa settlement and forest we stay Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 4

Nunthala to Bupsa (2360 m) 5 to 7 hrs

 

We follow the Dudh Koshi River as we head upward to Khumbu. Cross the bridge, climb to Jubing and continue straight to Churkha.climb the trail eastward to reach Kharikhoila and descend to cross a suspension bridge. Another steep climb finally takes us to Bupsa Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 5

Bupsa to Surke (2290 m) 5 to 6 hrs.

 

The trail from Bupsa rises through a forested stretch passing Kharte. From Kharte a hill climb takes us to Khari la pass. Enjoy the magnificent views of Te Kari la pass of Gyachung Kang and Khumbila mountains among others and go through the ups and down to Surke Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 6

 Surke to Phakding (2652m) 4/5 hrs.

 

From Surke, our trail mostly  climb uphill Chaurikharka.initially, the trek moves up to chhiplung.then updown gradual flat the trail moves down to Phakding Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 7

Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3420 m) 6-7 hour walk.

 

After the breakfast at Phakding we sent out on or trail along the dudh Koshi River. We walk through a magnificent forest of pine and rhododendron to climb to the village of monjo.from monjo we pass through the entrance in sagarmatha National Park, Where our trekking Permits will be checked. After the short trekking formalities at the sagarmatha National Park. The trail takes a steep rocky descent to cross a 120 meters long suspension bridge towards jorsale. We pass through several caravans of mules and yak on the way. The Trail Crosses Dud Koshi and Bhote Koshi River to open us to Magnificent view of Mt Everest Peeking through Nuptse and Lhotse wall. We Continue Walk as we enter the town of Namche Bazaar. Overnight at guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 8

Namche Bazaar, Acclimatization.

 

We Stay in Namche Bazaar in Second Night to allow us Acclimatization as we gain altitude. This is a Great Opportunity to explore the energetic town of Namche is the most famous trading center in the Everest region with colorful panoply of houses, restaurants lodges and shops. We will Visit the Sherpa Museum at the national park headquarter to gain an insight about the Sherpa’s culture, lifestyle and Mountaineering.Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 9

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3870 m) 5/6 hrs.

 

We start our trek towards Tenghboche enjoying superb view of Mt Everest Lhotse ama Dablem and close up view of thamserku .our trek follow on the gradual trail with few ups and downs overlooking magnificent view of grate Himalaya. Along the way we can spot wild lives like pheasant, musk deer, or a herd of Himalaya thar.the trail goes gradually down up to kayangjuma.the trek then follows through the pine forest and after we cross the prayer flags bridge over dudh Koshi River. After relaxes lunch at phunki thenga we then have a little though climb steep up through the pine forests while effort we reach Tenghboce. Overnight at guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 10

Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft): 5/6 hrs.

 

Mountains as a backdrop, the monastery in Tengboche looks spectacular more in the morning. We snap pictures of the monastery and the sceneries around and as usual start the day journey. We choose the upper trail for better views to visit Pangboche village and its ancient Monastery. We pass through several Chortens and Mani walls and small villages. We enjoy lunch with fantastic close-up views of Ama-Dablam. In the afternoon, go north to Pheriche or take the eastward trail beneath the towering north face of Ama Dablam. From here onwards the walk is fairly moderate as we enter the Imja Valley. The valley ahead will begin to open up as we approach the confluence of the Lobuche River, we descend into the river and begin the last and steepest climb of the day up to Dingboche On arrival in Dingboche, we enjoy the beautiful array of fields enclosed by stone walls to protect the barley, buckwheat and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals. Day 11

Acclimatization day at Dingboche: hike Nagarjung Peak back to hotel.

 

Today is an essential day as it is the second and last acclimatization day of the trek (you may remember the first of which was at Namche Bazaar). As we did the previous time, we will use the day to reach a higher altitude and then return to Dingboche to spend the night. One famous saying in high-altitude mountaineering is “Climb high, sleep low”, which means it is wise, and sometimes even essential (while ascending more than 305m 1,000ft at an altitude of above 3,050m /10,000 ft) to sleep at a lower altitude than the highest point reached during the day. This is the first step of our acclimatization hike, the Nangkartshang Hermitage, where many trekkers choose to stop. Given that we are always looking for more exceptional views and those we are feeling relatively well overall, we decide to push on and reach the summit. Day 12

Dingboche trek to Lobuche (4910 m).

 

 From Dingbouche the trail follows through farmlands and meadows before continuing along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier then you will reach at Dughla (4620m) after that continues rocky steeply climb uphill to Dughla Pass (4830m) from whereas you can see the lots of stone memorials of climbers who have perished on nearby summits. You can see magnificent views including Mt. Ama dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6623m), Kangtega (6783m), Cholaste (6335m), Lobuche east (6090m), Pumori (7165m), Lingtren (6713m), Khumbutse (6639m)and Nuptse (7879m) etc. Beyond the Dughla Pass the trail gently climb up and drops a bit then continue level walk to Lobuche (4910m). Day 13

 Lobuche trek to Gorak Shep (5140 m) then visit Everest base camp (5364m.

 

Today, the trail follows western side of khumbu valley ascends gently through meadows nearby the glacial moraine after that ascends and descends in the rocky path with some rounding the bands. Along the way you can enjoy incredible views of Pumori (7167 m) Lingtren (6713 m), Khumbutse (6639 m), Nuptse (7879 m), Lobuche east (6090 as well as Khumbu glacier and icefall. After finishing several bands you will a bit descends to Gorak Shep (5140m). After reaching Gorak Shep you may have your lunch and leave your bag pack at teahouse then start your journey to Everest base camp (5364m). You will spend about 4 and half hours trek up to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorak shep. The trek trail is on glacier and snow capped rocks. You can also see many small frozen lakes around the Everest Base Camp. There are several mountains including Pumori (7165 m), Lingtren (6713 m), Khumbutse (6639 m), Nuptse (7879 m) and Lhotse (8516 m) but you can’t see the mount Everest (8848 m) from Everest base camp although you will see it along the trail. The most impressive view from Everest base camp is the Khumbu ice fall. After enjoying beautiful moment at the Everest base camp then return back to Gorak Shep. Day 14

Gorak Shep Hike to Kala Pattar (5545 m) then trek to Pheriche or pangboche (4260 m)

 

 Today early in the morning from Gorak shep hike up to Kala patter for magnificent view of the numerous Himalaya as well as breathtaking view of sunrise. The trail from Gorak sheep to Kala patter at the beginning steep climb up approximately half an hour reach the flat land where have been attending Nepal government cabinet meeting regarding the issue of the global warming in 2009.it was first cabinet meeting in such a high place in the world. Aftermath the trail steep climb with lots of bends finally you reach at kala patter after that about 50 meters steeply with rocky climbing to summit the main Kala pattar (5545 m). Today you may see excellent view of sunrise on the Mt. Everest (8848), Lhotse (8516 m), Nuptse (7879 m), Ama dablam (6856 m), Thamserku (6623m), Kangtega (6783 m), Kusum kangaru (6367), Cholaste (6335 m), Tabuche peak(6495 m) Lobuche peak (6090 m) , Lingtren (6713 m), Khumbutse (6639m), Lho La ,south col, changste as well as Everest base camp, Khumbu Icefall and few lake. Once you are at the kala pattar you may feel you are touching Mt. pumori and close-up view Mt. Everest. Finally the dream comes in true then will return back to Gorak shep have a breakfast continue trek heading down through Lobuche and Dughla. Little further from Dughla you will cross the river comes from Everest base camp and khumbu ice fall then you will meet two trail where one way left hand side goes to Dingboche and lower one right hand side goes to Pheriche . From here easy walk in the valley to pheriche Pangboche (4260 m). Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 15

Pheriche or Pangboche to Namche bazaar Altitude: 3440m/11283 ft Walking Distance: 14 km (5 to 6 hours).

 

We retrace the original steps of our ascent as we make our way back down the mountain again. The fascinating culture of the Sherpa’s is on display once more – don’t miss a peak at the yak-herding namche mainly downhill, although it does, counter intuitively, require an hour scaling a hill. We’ll be in Namche by late afternoon and off to bed before our second last day on the mountain Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 16

Namche to Phakding and Lukla Altitude: 2,800m/9,184 ft Walking Distance: 16 km (6-8 hours).

 

After breakfast, we trek toward the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then pass through several local villages. Our arrival in Lukla brings an evening in a proper hotel and, traditionally, a party with your trekking crew: you made it! Thanks to great teamwork and perseverance, you’ve accomplished a physical feat of which others only dream. This is your last night on the mountain, which can be bittersweet Overnight at Guest house include meal B/L/D.

Day 17

Fly Lukla to Kathmandu

 

We fly back to Kathmandu after our long mountain journey. The early morning flight drops us at Kathmandu. You can rest and relax throughout the day in your hotel. If get interested to take some gifts home from Nepal for friends and relatives, visit to some nearby shops or venture out in Thamel for typical Nepalese goods which can be assisted by our guides or you can do it yourself too. If you want to explore any other areas of Kathmandu take the time to do that today! To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell dinner awhere we can pick our meal from their carefully crafted menu that offer a wide range of choices. Day 18

 Farewell Friend.

 

You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Everest View Treks And Expedition will take you to the airport. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
