Everest yoga trekking in Nepal Everest View Yoga Trek is the one where trekking and yoga goes hand in hand. While trekking in the high altitude Himalayas, yoga comes the topmost priority. In yoga, we have breathing practices, yogic movements and postures which prepare the body and mind in a balance state whilst trekking. Also, yoga practice in the cold fresh Himalayan environment is most rewarding.  The Everest View trek itself is one of the most popular treks in the Everest region for its wide ranges of scenic views all along the way and experiencing Mt. Everest up close and personal. In fact trekking in the Everest region is a life time dream of passionate hikers as the quest provides an opportunity to witness Mt. Everest including other Khumbu giants from a close range. It really requires per-practice and preparation for hiking in such tough landscape. Thus, thru Yoga practices before and whilst trekking, the journey becomes much smoother and less arduous.

In every trekking day, you will have an hour yoga exercises with yogic movements, postures and breathing practices to prepare the body and mind for the day ahead.  The trek starts with catching the Trans-Himalayan flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip of Lukla also known as the entry point to Everest base camp trekking. The trek starts from Lukla to Phakding towards Namche bazaar based at an elevation 3,436m, also known as the gateway of the Everest base camp trekking. The trek further enhances towards the National Park which is the habitat for different varieties of floras and faunas.  In every 2 hrs continuous walk, we have exercises stretching and relaxing our body. Practicing this way, the trek will be fun plus a successful adventure. Everest View Yoga Trek allows you to enjoy trek and yoga at the same time in Nepal’s most liked trekking destination, the Everest region.

We can even enjoy hot chocolates, variety of breads, variety of drinks, and snacks. Breakfast of a day will be served from the tea house or lodge menu where we spent the night. Lunch will be served on the way to destination and dinner and breakfast will be served at the tea house where you spend the night.

I will try to provide Best Tea house as much as possible, however tea houses or lodges of some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities

Health and Experience Requirements

Everest Yoga Trek is not so  difficult trip suitable for passionate adventurers who have ability to walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light day pack. In some days we might even need to walk more hours. Walking in higher altitude is physically demanding than walking in the lower altitudes; however, those in excellent physical condition with above average fitness and some hiking experience can do this trek. Positive attitude, self-confidence and strong determination are things that aid to accomplish trip successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior of the trip are good idea to enhance strength and stability.

Travel Insurance

It is a condition upon trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs). Please note that we don’t arrange or sell insurance.

Acclimatization

Everest Yoga Trek itinerary is planned with a high degree of awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Going up at higher altitudes too fast causes a medical condition serious enough to result in death. The higher the altitude, the less oxygen will be in the air. For example, at an altitude above of 5000m, there is 50% less oxygen than at sea level. Therefore, our body needs many days to adapt to an environment with less oxygen. Itineraries generally allow sufficient time to acclimatize. So, for a safe trek, it is absolutely essential to allow sufficient time for acclimatization. Sensible planning is therefore required to minimize the risk of AMS. Mild headaches, fever, loss of appetite or stomach disorders are symptoms of AMS.
